Aim:

To promote and demonstrate how the sustainable use of energy in the domestic sector can help to improve housing standards, reduce the no’s of households in fuel poverty, help to address the impact of C02 emissions on climate change and make improvements in public health.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

6th June Briefing Session

The DSEN Domestic Energy and Health sub group meeting held on June 6th 2007 kicked off with an open briefing session around 'Tackling Thermal Comfort for Decent Homes'. This was led by Philip Doidge of Housing Renewal Services Ltd who gave an excellent and informative presentation on the Decent Homes Standard. Also present at the meeting on June 6th was David Jones from Energywatch, who talked to us briefly about the services energywatch provide and in particular the Priority Service Register (PSR). David will be attending a future meeting where he will be given an opportunity to tell us about Energywatch in more detail.
